Thank you for testing Metis. By installing and playing the test build you agree to the following.
The test build is a work in progress. It may crash, lose your progress, or behave strangely. Published levels, accounts and saves may be wiped between versions. It is provided as it is, without any promise that it works.
Bug reports, ideas and suggestions are what the test is for. You agree that I may use any feedback you give, in any way, to make and improve Metis, without owing you anything for it. You are never required to give feedback.
You keep ownership of the levels and designs you make. When you publish one, you let me host it, show it to other players, and use it to test and improve the game (for example, as a test case when fixing a bug). If you do not want a published level used, unpublish it or ask me to remove it.
Please do not publish anything offensive, illegal, or that belongs to someone else. I may remove anything that breaks this.
Your Steam key is for you. Please do not share, sell or give it away. If you know someone who would like to test, let me know instead.
Feel free to show Metis to friends: screenshots and clips in private chats, or playing it on a call. Please keep it off anything public (social media, YouTube, public streams, forums, public Discord servers) until it is announced. It is unannounced and will change a lot before release. Your key and the build itself stay with you.
The test ends when the game is released, or earlier if I decide to stop it. You can leave at any time by uninstalling it; to have your data deleted, see the privacy notice.
What the test collects, and your rights, are in the privacy notice.
